Caps, Pens Clash as Stanley Cup Favorites

With the number of teams still in the running for the Stanley Cup trimmed down to 10 the Stanley Cup odds at online sportsbook Bodog are starting to really tighten up.

The team on top is still the same, with the Washington Capitals the Stanley Cup favorite at +350. They aren’t ahead by much though, with the Pittsburgh Penguins nipping at their heels at +375. Only one of them will advance to the conference final as they face each other in the second round. It’s pretty much a given that whoever wins this series will be the Stanley Cup favorite going forward.

Third on the odds list at Bodog are the Dallas Stars at +500. Dallas took care of the Minnesota Wild in the first round but are still waiting to find out who they will face next. They’ll take on the winner of the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks, who play Game 7 on Monday night. Can You Buy zoloft online 100 mg for pills. Any rest is good news for the Stars as they await the return of forward Tyler Seguin from an Achilles injury.

Rounding out the Top 5 on the Bodog odds are the San Jose Sharks at +625 and the Anaheim Ducks at +750.

Could this finally be the Sharks’ year? After years of playoff upsets and disappointments the Sharks looked good in the opening round, upsetting the Los Angeles Kings. Like the Stars, the Sharks are also waiting for their second-round opponent to be determined. It could be the aforementioned Ducks or the Nashville Predators.

The Ducks fell behind 2-0 to Nashville in their opening-round series, but stormed back to take the next three and sit one win away from advancing. Game 6 goes in Nashville on Monday night. With elimination staring them in the face the Predators are being given the worst Stanley Cup odds at Bodog right now at +5000.

The only other confirmed series right now is in the Eastern Conference between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Islanders. Even though one side is guaranteed to make it to the conference final neither are getting great odds right now. The Lightning, still minus Steven Stamkos, are at +1200, while the Islanders, who have already upset one team from Florida, are at +1400.
