Heat on slate for sports bettors this week

The Miami Heat look like they’re going to run away with the Eastern Conference title in the regular season, and LeBron James and company will be looking to keep their foot on the gas pedal this week with three games against the Kings, Grizzlies, and Knicks.

And bettors will likely be looking past the Heat’s games against Sacramento (Tuesday) and Memphis (Friday) to their matchup with the Knicks on Sunday afternoon, as New York got past Miami 104-84 as a 6-point home underdog on November 2 and then did it again with a 112-92 victory in Miami as a 9.5-point road underdog on December 6.

New York, though, is cold heading into a week in which they take on Golden State on Wednesday and Washington on Friday before getting a visit from the Heat at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Brooklyn’s top game this week is on Saturday when they play on the road in Chicago; the Nets knocked off the Bulls 93-89 as a 5-point home favorite in an OVER result on the hoops betting lines when they last battled back on February 1.

We’re just a week away from the start of some of the conference tournaments in college basketball, with top matchups on tap for the next seven days. College basketball bettors will get four marquee matchups on Saturday with Louisville at Syracuse, Butler at VCU, Notre Dame at Marquette, and Miami at Duke, with the Blue Devils getting trounced 90-63 on the road by the Hurricanes in a January 23 meeting.

Sunday then has Michigan State at Michigan, with those rivals also meeting for the second time this season; back on February 12 the Spartans ran away with a 75-52 victory over the Wolverines in a game in which they were the 2-point home underdog.

In NHL action this week the Montreal Canadiens have four games on tap as they look to continue their solid start to the season, including games at Ottawa and Toronto on Monday and Wednesday, a home matchup with the Penguins on Saturday, then a game on the road in Boston on Sunday. Antabuse without prescription Montreal lost 2-1 at home to Tuukka Rask and the Bruins on February 6, and they’ve lost each of their last five games against Boston.

Rounding out the sports betting slate for this week are the Sprint Cup Series’ Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday afternoon, UFC on Fuel TV 8 featuring Silva vs. Stann in Tokyo on Saturday night, and the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic – which gets underway in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on Thursday morning.
