NHL Weekend Betting Preview

Wild's Kyle Brodziak has been hot as of late.

The official grind of the 82-game NHL regular season is underway as we enter the third month of action. With enough tape on all 30 teams, we now have a good picture of which ones are stuck jockeying for position in the middle of the pack and which ones are the lead dogs in the race to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. These teams have not only performed well on the ice, but have also been extremely profitable on the money line and a solid play against the puck line.

The team at the top of this list is the Detroit Red Wings. Lasix online Last night’s 5-2 pasting of Phoenix as 156 home favorites snapped a two game skid and was their eighth win in their last 10 games. Detroit is three points behind Chicago in the Central Division with 35 points and has an overall record of 17-9-1. It is an NHL-best +1922 on the money line and a very profitable 18-9 against the puck line.
The Red Wings are back in action this Saturday against another hot team, the Winnipeg Jets. Winnipeg is 7-2-1 in its last 10 games and brings a three-game winning streak into tonight’s game against Carolina, in which it is a 146 home favorite. Saturday’s game should be a great matchup between two hot teams that could go either way, but it offers a tremendous opportunity on the total line. The total has gone ‘over’ in three of Detroit’s last five games and in five of the Jets last eight games. The total has also gone ‘over’ in seven of the last eight meetings between the two.
The Pick: Winnipeg vs. Detroit OVER

The Minnesota Wild have been the biggest surprise in the first two months of the season with an overall record of 19-7-3 and a league-high 41 points. They have also been a financial boon to anyone who was smart enough to jump on their bandwagon early with a +1365 return on the money line and a 20-9 record against the puck line.
This Saturday, the Wild put their current six-game winning streak on the line in a road trip to Phoenix to tangle with the Coyotes. While Minnesota has averaged 3.5 goals in its six-game streak including four goals in Thursday night’s win over Los Angeles as a 142 road underdog, the Coyotes are 2-3 in their last five games while averaging just 2.2 goals. The same dose or an increased dose lasix online may be administered 6-8 hours later. The Wild come into this matchup with the second-best road record in the NHL at 9-3-2 overall and are 6-0 in their last six games on the road.
The Pick: Minnesota 4 Phoenix 2

The defending champion Boston Bruins stumbled out of the gate this season, but are back in form as of late with a 7-2-1 record in their last 10 games that has them sitting at the top of the Northeast Division with 35 points and an overall record of 17-9-1. This streak has also made the Bruins a profitable team to wager on with a +949 return on the money line.
Despite the recent success, Boston brings a two-game skid into Saturday’s matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets. This past Tuesday night, it dropped a 2-1 decision to Winnipeg as a 132 road favorite and Thursday night, the Bruins were shutout 2-0 by Florida as 175 home favorites. Given the fact that this team had only lost once in its previous 15 games before this week, it is hard to see it dropping a third-straight game to a Columbus team that is last in the Western Conference with 20 points an overall record of 8-16-4.
The Pick: Boston 3 Columbus 1
