It’s Team USA and then everybody else in Olympic Men’s Basketball in London this week according to the oddsmakers at Bodog.ca.

To say that Team USA is the favorite to win the gold medal would be an understatement. On the latest Olympic Basketball futures odds at Bodog.ca the American’s are a huge 1/12 favorites. Following them on the odds list are Spain at 13/2 and Argentina at 25/1.

As usual Team USA has a roster loaded with the best players in the NBA. Just a few of the names on the star-studded Team USA roster include Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Chris Paul and Kevin Love. The America’s could simply put those five players on the floor for an entire game and likely mop the floor with most of the team’s in London.

In their tournament opener Team USA had no trouble taking apart France 98-71. Durant was the go-to-guy in that game, scoring a team-high 22 points in the rout. Next up for the American’s is a meeting with Tunisia on Tuesday. The rest of their round robin schedule includes clashes with Nigeria, Lithuania and Argentina.

Spain looks to be the only team in London with any shot at keeping Team USA from the gold medal. Antabuse without prescription The Spanish team has the strong tandem of Pau Gasol and Marc Gasol leading them and they also boast NBA players Jose Calderon and Serge Ibaka. Is that enough to hold off Team USA if the meet up in the gold medal game? Four years ago Spain and Team USA faced off in the gold medal game in Beijing and the Americans won 118-107.

If you’re a real risk taker you could put a few dollars down on Argentina at 25/1 at Bodog.ca Eight years ago in Athens the Argentina team shocked the world by winning the gold medal. To get there they pulled off one of the biggest Olympic basketball upsets of all time by defeating the USA in the semifinals. Argentina does have some star power on their roster, including Manu Ginobili, Luis Scola and Carlos Delfino, but is that enough to pull off another major upset?
