World Series Odds: Royals Lead, Jays Trail

The Kansas City Royals join two other teams atop the updated odds to win the 2015 World Series at online sportsbook Bodog, while the Toronto Blue Jays sit back in the pack on those baseball futures as they try to remain in the hunt for an AL playoff berth this summer.

At Bodog it’s the Royals, St. Louis Cardinals, and Washington Nationals who sit as the co-favorites on the latest odds to win the 2015 World Series at 7/1, with all three of those teams holding down leads in their respective division standings early in the month of July.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, the NL West leaders, are then at 8/1, with the Houston Astros, the AL West leaders, at 12/1. The Chicago Cubs join the Astros at 12/1 on those baseball betting futures, with the San Francisco Giants at 14/1, and the New York Yankees then the first AL East team on the list at 16/1.

New York holds a slim lead in the AL East standings on the Baltimore Orioles, who sit at 22/1 on the odds to win the 2015 World Series, with the Blue Jays then at 25/1, and the Tampa Bay Rays and the Boston Red Sox both at 33/1. Boston, the preseason favorite to win the AL East, sits in the division basement early in July.

The Pittsburgh Pirates (16/1), Detroit Tigers (20/1), and Los Angeles Angels (22/1) also sit in the top half of the latest World Series betting lines, while the Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, and Texas Rangers all join the Red Sox at 33/1 odds.

At 50/1 on the Bodog World Series futures are the Chicago White Sox, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, and Seattle Mariners, with the Atlanta Braves following those teams at 66/1 odds. The Arizona Diamondbacks, Cincinnati Reds, and Miami Marlins have all slipped to 150/1 odds.

Rounding out the list are the Colorado Rockies and the Milwaukee Brewers at 300/1 odds to win the 2015 World Series, and then the Philadelphia Phillies as the longshots at 1000/1 odds.
